About the Study
The BrainAge Challenge is a collaborative research effort and competition focused on understanding brain aging through MRI. By participating, you can help advance research in neuroscience, contribute valuable data to the scientific community, and potentially be crowned as the world's best. In addition to eligibility for our Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards for the most accurate predictions, all participants will receive academic acknowledgment for their contributions in any resulting outputs. You will also receive a full report of your own rating performance at the close of the study, giving you personalised insights into your rating accuracy.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone is welcome to join! We're particularly interested in contributions from MRI Brain experts, including radiologists, neuroradiologists, clinicians, and academic professionals.
Improve Clinical Practice
Our collaborative data will help inform best clinical practices in radiological reporting of age and atrophy.
Receive Academic Credit
All contributors will receive certificates and full acknowledgment for their participation in resulting any academic outputs.
Assess Automated Methods
Results will help assess the utility and clinical relevance of automated BrainAge methods.
Win Everlasting Glory
The most accurate contributors will be awarded the inaugural BrainAge Challenge 2026 Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, with further awards for resident doctors!
How It Works
1. Sign Up: Sign-up for an account.
2. Login: Access your dashboard to begin rating scans.
3. Rate: Review scans using the integrated platform and estimate the patient's age. Participation requires a minimum of only 25 scans to be reviewed!
4. Win: A participant's best performance on an individual packet of 20 scans will be used to determine award winners at the end of the study period.
